creak BREST

The CREAK competence center at the Brest University Hospital, coordinated by Professor Claire de Moreuil in internal medicine, welcomes patients referred by their doctor for suspected bradykinin angioedema for consultation. Patients who have a confirmed diagnosis of bradykinin angioedema are then monitored over the long term. We have an experienced team of doctors and nurses who support patients at the time of diagnosis, the implementation of drug treatments and follow-up.

A WORD FROM THE BREST TEAM

Our competence center was certified in 2017, but we have been treating patients with bradykinin angioedema for many years at Brest University Hospital.

The doctors of the internal medicine department are involved in the care of patients with bradykic angioedema through dedicated consultations, collective and individual TPE workshops, in particular for the performance of self-injections of medication by patients, but also through telephone or email advice intended for health professionals. They also participate in the training of doctors and interns, in the development of national recommendations in connection with the CREAK, and in clinical research studies.

Two other departments of the Brest University Hospital participate in the center's activity: dermatology and pediatrics.
